For almost 60 years, Dr. Marcia Henry has worked in the fields of reading and dyslexia as a tutor, diagnostician, professor, and author. Her book, “Unlocking Literacy: Effective Decoding and Spelling Instruction,” is considered a key text for teachers seeking a systematized, effective method of reading and spelling instruction and focuses on morphemic awareness, letter-sound correspondences and syllable patterns.
